Good grief unemployment in real terms stayed constand at 8.3%.

Be afraid be very very afraid.

If Barry ‘O can get another million people to quick looking for work then he will have suceeded in lowering the enemployment numbers (not creating jobs) AND, this is a Big Friggin And added more Americans to the on-going agony of being a ward of the State.

Barry ‘O is managing to make people dependent on him and the Fed or State. When enough people owe their existence, to the Fed then our system has tipped over.

I believe that is what the Progressive Democrats want. Full control of dependent Americans and full control of the workers who pay for the others. This is no longer an ideology on how to run the country. It has become an ideology on how to create enough votes to maintain power.

Quote excerpt from Reuters article. Notice the numbers of unemployed went down because ‘so many Americans gave up the hunt for work‘

‘Nonfarm payrolls increased only 96,000 last month, the Labor Department said on Friday. While the unemployment rate dropped to 8.1 percent from 8.3 percent in July, that was because so many Americans gave up the hunt for work.’

There’s a problem with our entitlements.

Social Security will have over 70 million recipients by 2020 (yes just 8 years). There won’t be enough money going in to support all the monthly requirements. The cash surplus has been used on other entitlement programs over the last 30 years and an IOU placed in the Social Security Box.

What’s done is done, the fact is the money you put in for the last 40 years was spent on someone else. We are out of cash with $16 trillion in debt, probably $20 trillion by 2020 so the US won’t be able to borrow at a rate that we can repay easily. There’s not many options left except cut that entitlement, Medicare, food stamps, Housing assistance and so forth.

Don’t argue with me, there’s no money left.

There’s two fixes:

1. Provide only the basic Social Security payout to keep people from falling into deep poverty. Maximum for married couples will probably be $20 -$23,000 per year. If you make more than that on pensions and investments from a job, sorry you are tossed out of the system. Means testing.

2. Allow inflation to run at 8+% per year for the next 8 – 10 years. Effectively creating a false environment where the compound affect on wages would make even the part time worker at McDonalds earn $40 – $50 per hour. In effect that would give more tax revenue over a broad base of tax payers. Many who don’t pay now. This would enrich the tax revenues such that all Social Security obligations could be met. The problem however is that if you double wages through inflation you also make most everything else double in price. Effectively that $5.00 1/2 gallon of milk then would cost $10.00. Multiply that through all the basic living staples and you have a situation where that $20,000 Social Security check in real terms of today’s money is worth about $10,000 in purchasing power. Relegating everyone dependent on Social Security to the poverty level.

The general rule of thumb is that over the 75% of all Social Security recipients rely on Social Security as their only means of income.

Politicians stole your Social Security piggy bank 30 years ago when they voted to put the money into the General Fund and an IOU in the piggy bank.

You can’t fire those politicians as they are most likely dead or out of office.

You can fire (vote out the President) the current administration and look to vote in fiscal conservatives in November. Those people will honestly tell you EVERYTHING has to be cut back to bring the debt down.

Government has to cut every department budget by 7% per year for 5 years. They also have to increase Social Security tax baseline past the current limit of $116,000 to no limit. They also most likely have to add 1 or 2 percent to get the piggy bank filled up.

Where do you think we can afford to cut the government in other areas and by how much. The crash is on the way, will we ignore it or make the choice to control it and fix it before the debt and interest becomes 100% of our total earnings (now at about $15 trillion per year in GDP).

After the conclusion of the Wisconsin recall and the confirmation by the electorate that PUBLIC EMPLOYEES UNIONS should not strangle the tax payers through collective bludgeoning I had an EPIPHANY.

Did you ever notice how Libs can’t seem to stay on track and keep the same thought to bring it to a logical conclusion?

It’s that very same problem that warps liberal thinking. By example the Wisconsin recall was about Public Employees collective bargaining.

Once the recall vote affirmed Governor Walker’s position the Libs started running a different tune. Gov Walker stopped the high speed rail project. Then I heard Gov Walker is under investigation for corruption charges.

This is a microcosm of the issues that Libs have. We can help them by providing free RITALIN for their A. D. D.

You know if we can get them to pay attention and follow a logical discussion they would seem much more reasonable.

It’s too bad, Libs need a new drug. Let’s help them recognize their A. D. D. issue by keeping them on one subject at a time.

Why Pres OB is Wrong

To use the analogy that President Obama has failed this country only because of George Bush might be a bit thin on logic.

Nothing is really that binary. Certainly the legacy left by the previous administration has an affect on how the next administration will operate. The war and debt for that hasn’t helped the economy. There are indications however that the current administration hasn’t provided solutions that have worked. They have tried but it’s not working.

First things first, the unemployment in the US will most likely not improve because of emerging labor markets around the world. If you can manufacture something cheaper in India, Korea, China or Mexico why wouldn’t you do that? It’s the same for consumers as well. We don’t go to Walmart, Target, Kmart because they have the best selection we go there because their prices are cheaper. This is a fundamental economic premise and it will remain in place until the other economies labor markets demand more money.

The financial melt down was most likely caused by greed in the brokerage business. That greed however was tethered to a fantasy that everyone should and could afford a home and a mortgage. The finance committee headed by Barney Frank and pushed by Dodd opened up regulations that went unchecked. Those folks were Democrats with the best of intentions. ‘Give a mortgage to anyone and everyone, no one should have to qualify’. The liberal idea that everyone should have a government backed loan supported by the Federal backed banking and mortgage system controlled by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac opened the door for people who could not have purchased a house or at least one of the size they bought at the time. Hence the accelerated ideal of someone with good intentions collapsed the housing market and sucked the life out of Americas financial institutions. Now Bush could have tried to say no by veto but he didn’t, but he wasn’t the architect either.

Bailing out the car companies was just a very poor business idea. It may also have been politically motivated. There are mechanisms in place to help failing businesses and even failing State and Local governments. The mechanism of bankruptcy would have restructed GM and Chrysler debt. They would have come out of the failure a stronger company with a better debt structure and different management. Where I think this was a political issue is when we bailed the car companies out we actually paid for some very high priced labor contracts both for existing labor as well as pensions. The car companies will eventually fail due to their labor structure. We’ve seen it with some municipalities already and it is coming to a state near you. The system has to cleanse itself and bankruptcy is one of the cleaners.

Restrictions on energy production along with environmental regulations have kept America from energy independence. The Keystone pipeline is one example of a negative restriction, the reduction in permits both for off shore drilling and new permits to drill on American soil have also limited our energy independence. At the same time we continue to have troops in the Middle East to protect that interest. On the other hand promoting and backing green energy has been expensive without any real advancement in that area. Win loose or draw if you believe in green energy then go buy it. Nothing states you can’t buy solar panels for your house. It’s just a fact you won’t do it because that technology would cost you many multiples of costs beyond developed energy today. Green energy is not ready so it remains a fantasy. Your welcome to buy it but I know most folks won’t do so in this century. It remains a pipe dream only not a ‘Keystone’ pipe dream.

The high cost of protecting interest in the Middle East. There seems to be a strange judgment about the Afghan and Iraq expenditures but little said about, Libya, Syria, Egypt and other Muslim countries the United States has used tactical military interventions. You know the administration has now had four years to withdraw from Iraq and Afghanistan. That is the President’s call at anytime as the commander and chief he could choose to take our troops out. But instead he’s kept them in place and increased our military involvement around the Middle East.

All in all the administration has failed in far too many areas to simply blame a previous President’s policies. Let’s face it you’d fire an employee with this many failures.

Unemployment above 8%

Trillions spent to stimulate the economy and virtually no movement. He said that’s what it would take and he has the plan but apparently not the ability

Continued involvement in Afghanistan and Iraq plus expansions in Syria, Libya and Egypt

Wasteful spending on not ready for prime time green energy

Ignoring our own energy resources and opting to maintain energy dependence on the middle east

Using his Royal Flush having the Senate and House majority but only accomplishing to pass a Health Care Bill that now appears to be the most unpopular pieces of legislation since Prohibition and it may accelerate adding to a debt that cannot be paid back.

Aggressively usurping State sovereignty to govern within their borders through the judicial system. Blocking attempts for border states to control illegal immigration that affects their costs and impacts entitlements

Developing the most hateful approach to class warfare that anyone has ever seen from the Presidential office. Totally dividing the people of the United States

Fair is fair. Bush did start something. Barry just didn’t fix it and I don’t believe he wants to. There is another agenda; you just think it’s something different. Be afraid be very afraid of this administration.

Since the people who voted to take the money going into Social Security Trust Fund and move it to the Federal Government General Fund (they’ve used it all to promote other entitlement programs) used it all up.

This is now a take as you go process that gutted the fund 30 years ago.

Now rather than having a fund growing and earning in Trust, the Federal Government has spent every dime on welfare, food stamps, UN and so on, we are now entering an era where the working population cannot support the retiring population of Baby Boomers.

Oh and the next gen of workers are really pissed off about that.

The fix, no one should receive more than a minimum Social Insecurity payout above $14,500 per year. Currently the upper end is somewhere around $30,000 per year. Secondly all Social Security payments should be taxed at ordinary income, no special dispensation for earnings less than $35,000 as it is now. Third no upper limit on taxes, this year after you earn over $110,000 the Social Insecurity Tax ends. Lift that and tax everyone on every dollar.

Then fire everyone in the Government every 4 years or less.

Last disband all Federal Congressional and Administrative Retiree systems and their Health care and put them on the regular citizens program.

This will make Social Insecurity solvent and capable of paying the obligations for the rest of this century.

As you watch the news unfold with the Wisconsin recall election you realize there are some cities and states that can fix their financial issues but others are beyond repair.

As with any unsolvable financial issues our legal system allows for a bankruptcy filing and then a reorganization of debt.

For most cities and states their debt issues are heavily burdoned by their liberal and lucrative retirement and heath care plans.

The bankruptcy courts could in fact move those Public Employee retirement plans (burdens) over to the Pension Benefit Guarantee Corp.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pension_Benefit_Guaranty_Corporation

This would relieve the cities and states of their excess Union Pension costs and allow them to focus on the needs of the citizens rather than the Unions special interests.

We could get back to a balance. Let’s face it those Public Employees Unions have strangled the goose that laid the golden egg, the TAX PAYER.

I often compare my ideology to that of a Liberal. Depending on the definition, which is important, I believe most people are of a liberal perspective. There is however a small but subtly important difference between a liberal Democrat and a liberal Republican, Independent and or Libertarian.

The difference is simply a level of intellectual maturity and the ability to deal with reality versus a romantic dream of what should be.

A liberal would tell you they are about helping others, wanting everyone to have a fare shot and a fare chance at the best life they possibly can, with access to health care, housing and education.

So far so good, few Republicans would argue against that and few Democrats would disagree. We all want that same compassionate opportunity afforded to all of us.

The Democrat ideology here however believes the way to do that is to tax the FRIGGIN’ shit out of anyone who works for a living so they can give it to those who won’t or don’t or can’t.

I agree with the ideology. I just don’t want you to take part of my life away through taxing my efforts and achievements to give it to someone else.

You liberal democratic pukes just aren’t capable of doing anything on your own without me and quite frankly I hate you for trying to enslave me to your agenda.
